Project Thursday: Nature's Beauty
Last weekend we had some snow on the ground and it was a bit warmer outside, so we decided to make a trip somewhere to take photos. We packed up our truck with all of our camera gear, both kids, and everything we needed for several hours out. That means that we're filled to the gills with stuff mounded up between our kids' car seats, stuff on the floorboard in both the back and front, and my huge camera bag in between my husband and I in the front. The amount of stuff we have to take on these trips when our kids are with us is unreal, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We love having them with us, and they enjoy our photography adventures just as much as we do.
The image above is from that day. I was drawn to it because of how the leaves were arranged across this log. At this point the sun was working on going down, so the lack of sun leaves this image feeling cold and wintery as it is. I still find the vines and leaves beautiful even though there isn't much color. That goes along with the season. Even with the cold we still embrace the season as much as possible with photos we can't get any other time of the year.
