Project Thursday: Serenity
Do you ever have one of those days where you're stressed out about something and you just need to take a break to relax a little? We have those days too, and something I really enjoy when I'm having a stressful day is getting outside and enjoying nature. Taking photos relaxes me, and I love finding beautiful and interesting things to take photos of. On top of this, I also find retouching to be relaxing. Often times when I'm feeling a bit stressed I bring up photos that I have been meaning to retouch and work on them.
Today I'm feeling a bit stressed due to a combination of things, so I took the opportunity to retouch this photo from last week. We had some awesome weather so my husband, kids and I all went for a walk down our road where we live. The road is usually pretty quiet since we live in the country. Normally when we go for walks I bring my camera with me. Even though most of the surroundings are the same, nature changes and you never know what you may get to photograph. We also have a bald eagle that nests just down the road from our house, so we always try to take a camera with us just in case the opportunity arises to get a photo of it. This photo was taken that day. We had beautiful weather as you can see, and I looked up taking notice of how incredible the clouds were. I took this shot with the full intention of retouching it later (slightly). Photos like these are always relaxing, and makes me feel "carefree", hence why I named it "Serenity".
