Mounted Prints: Why They're So Great

There are quite a few people who haven't heard of a mounted print, and aren't sure what the benefits are of purchasing mounted prints. Since we received a recent order I thought it would be a good time to talk about these real quick. Normally I would save this for Tip Tuesday, but I decided to post it now instead. Below is one of our awesome 8x12 mounted prints.

The image on the left shows what our prints look like from the front. We have our high quality professional texture on the print, and you can see how nice they look. In the photo on the right you can see the backing that is on the print. This backing is matte board that keeps the photo sturdy. The biggest benefit of having a mounted print is that they do not wrinkle because they have this matte board on the back. This means that when you have your photos in their frames that they're not going to fall or wrinkle inside the frame because they are sturdy. The memories that mean so much to you will last so much longer than a traditional paper print, and there won't be the disappointment that comes when your photo is ruined from wrinkles because the mounted print won't wrinkle.

Some clients question how easy it would be to find frames that fit the mounting, but is really easy to find frames that work well that don't cost an arm and a leg. We even have suggestions on places where you can get them. As an added bonus, we offer custom frames for these prints from our professional lab. There isn't a reason to not get mounted prints. They last a very long time, keep your photos in great condition, and frames are easy to come by.

As our policy, we do not offer prints that are not mounted because we believe that you want your memories to last forever, so the material they're printed on should allow that to happen. Our mounted prints are excellent products. We wouldn't want to offer our clients anything that is less than awesome.
