Delaware Shoot

While we were living in Delaware we made a lot of friends. So many that it was hard to leave after living there for eight years. They came from all different backgrounds and all have their own interesting stories. We love all of our friends as we continue to have a long distance relationship with them all. This photo takes us back to Delaware in the middle of winter.

The Story

These photos were taken for a friend of ours who actually built one of our houses in Delaware. He has a Harley Davidson motorcycle collection, and we photographed all three bikes for him. This one is the third of the collection (others are shown on our Facebook and Instagram). These photos were taken with one of our favorite techniques, painting with light. This particular image is made up of 7 photos that were stacked and pieced together in Photoshop. The photo of the motorcycle with its headlights on consists of 8 photos stacked together. It took around 3-4 hours to shoot all of the motorcycles and this was in the middle of January, so it was pretty cold outside. Even though it’s cold outside, the process can’t be rushed or something will be missed and the whole photo will be ruined. Wearing extra layers of clothes is a must. I’d say that it was all well worth it. The photos came out great, and I’m sure that anyone that likes motorcycles are enjoying these photos.
