Farm Truck Love: A New Project {Fine Art Photography}

I came home from my son's taekwondo class and my gumdo class not expecting to do anything except start working on getting the kids dinner and then get them to bed. When I pulled up to the house I saw that the combine was in the field beside our house harvesting the wheat. I already knew I wanted to attempt to get some photos before the sun went down. I got some nice shots, and am still working on retouching those, but I did an edit on the grain truck this morning and love what I came up with. Here's the finished image:

Farm Truck Love

I love this photo for many reasons, but you won't believe where this image started. Here's the original straight out of the camera:

Farm Truck Love - Original

The original is pretty boring, but I knew that I could really take this image to the next level. This photo was taken with my Canon 5D Mark III with the 70-200mm lens. All of the editing was in Photoshop CC 2014.

This goes to show that great photos can come at unexpected times, and even come from something that doesn't even look that special.
