Surf Hawaii
Catch A Wave
It is that time of the year again when the waves on the North Shore of Oahu are getting bigger and even more epic for surfing. Last week, it was time to get out of the house after all the prepping for Christmas, so I grabbed my camera gear, loaded up my Jeep, and went up to Haleiwa. There were a bunch of surfers in the water when I arrived at the beach and just started shooting photos. One day I will take some surfing lessons. I've wanted to since I was a little girl. I should probably get on that. Haha!
Lava Rock
While I was out taking photos of the surfers, I also took an HDR photo of the lava rock on the beach. It's not as black as what we found on the Big Island, but this is what Oahu has to offer. It's an element of Hawaii that I like to capture when I have a good opportunity to. In the background, all the mist coming off the water makes it look like it's a dark gloomy day, but this photo was taken at the same time the others above were of the surfers. This photo is available to purchase in the online store.
